RESERVATIONS
Please keep in mind that minimum stay requirements vary by time of the year. Typically, during peak season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), we rent week to week. Outside of peak season the minimum is 3 nights. If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to contact us!
Minimum Age to rent The Experience is 30.
CHECK-IN INFORMATION/TIME Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. Please plan your trip accordingly, as keyless door codes cannot be released until home is cleaned and inspected. We do our very best to make sure your home is accessible on time, but sometimes things do happen. In this case, we'll appreciate your patience and flexibility, and will make it up to you!
CHECK OUT: 10:00am - this is very important as we only have a set amount of time to clean and ensure the house is ready for the next guest to check in on time.
EARLY CHECK-IN or LATE CHECK OUT Early check-in and/or late check out may be available, especially in the off-season. Please contact your host prior to your reservation to inquire!
METHOD OF PAYMENT Our preferred method of payment is online through the Stripe gateway.
TAXES At the time of this document writing, North Carolina sales tax is 6.75% and the Town of Ocean Isle Beach Occupancy Tax is 6% for a total of 12.75% which is added to all rentals. Guests are responsible for paying all applicable taxes in full prior to checking in. Taxes will be disbursed upon check-out.
FURNISHINGS Beds are made for all guests, year-round! All beds are provided with sheets, pillows, mattress pads and bedspreads. We also include paper products, bath products, soaps, etc, so all you need is yourself and your family!
BEACH TOWELS Beach towels and other linens are included in your stay.
TOWN LAWS Prohibit campfires, sparklers, overnight camping, and glass of any kind along the beach. Additionally, the town prohibits camping vehicles (except when used for transportation only). No sleeping in vehicles or campers. Parking shall not exceed seven (7) days. Pedestrian access areas to the ocean are located about every 1,000 feet. These assigned areas sometimes offer public parking. However, no parking is allowed overnight. BEACH EQUIPMENT: The town of Ocean Isle Beach prohibits the use of cabanas, canopies, tents, or awnings on the beach at any time. Ocean Isle Beach requires all personal items must be removed from the strand at the end of each day. Any personal items left unattended between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. will be removed and disposed of by the town. Failure to comply with this ordinance will result in a civic penalty of $50 for each offense.
PET POLICY The Experience may allow pets with prior authorization - shoot us a message!
SEASONAL USE OF SWIMMING POOL Swimming pool is open year round (as long as you can brave the temps!) and can also be heated for an additional fee. In order to heat properly, the outside temp must be no lower than 45 degrees. Please give at least 24 hour notice if you'd like to have the pool heated prior to your arrival.
INTERNET/CABLE SERVICE The Experience at OIB provides complimentary high-speed WI-FI Internet access.
MAINTENANCE We make every effort to ensure that all of the amenities are in good working order, such as but not limited to: swimming pool, televisions, kitchen appliances, Internet service and HVAC. In case something becomes inoperable, we will make every effort to coordinate the repair or replacement. Please contact your host immediately to report any malfunctions so things can be handled in a timely manner.
LOST & FOUND -Please do a thorough look through of the property prior to departure. While we cannot be held responsible for items left behind, we do make every effort to locate and return them to you. Contact your host by emailing experienceoib@gmail.com, providing description and mailing address.
